NWA ANARCHY HARDCORE HELL 2012 3-31-12 REPORT

Any lingering doubt that the Franklin Dove NWA Anarchy would return to prominence on the Georgia wrestling scene was put to rest Saturday night at Hardcore Hell 2012.  The NWA Arena in Cornelia, GA was packed with fans who were hot for all seven matches, that saw John Skyler become the new NWA Anarchy Young Lions Champion, Shaun Tempers become a duel champion adding the the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight title, Ambassador Chris Mayne out of Anarchy after losing in a bloody Texas Tornado tag, and a Main Event that saw the NWA Elite victorious as Jeff G Bailey pinned Brody Chase after a heel turn nobody saw coming and had the capacity crowd incensed.

Todd Sexton opened the show by calling out Adrian Hawkins but instead got Andrew Pendelton III and The Texas Tornados (Kilgore & Ramirez).  After a brief exchange on the mike and a brief mike failure, Sexton was attacked by the three heels until familiar music preceded the arrival of the Hate Junkies (Dany Only & Stryknyn) with Dan Wilson who cleared the ring to a big reaction from the already hot crowd.  Wilson suggested a 6 man tag and the 1st match began.   Andrew Pendelton submitted to Todd Sexton’s sharpshooter.

The promoted John Skyler vs Anthony Henry Young Lions Title match became a 3 way sudden death match with the addition of Steven Walters.   With Walters down and out after a series of big move, Henry caught Skyler in the Texas Cloverleaf and as fan chanted tap, Skyler was able to get a hand on Walters who was flat on his back.   John Skyler pinned Steven Walters to become the new NWA Anarchy Young Lions Champion.  A very strong, and well executed finish that caught  the crowd off guard.  It was announced later in the show that Anthony Henry would get a rematch with Skyler for the Young Lions Title at the next NWA Anarchy show on April 14.

Seth Delay and Bo Newsome matched up well in the next match for the NWA Anarchy TV Title, and it looked like Newsome had Delay pinned but the ref saw Newsome’s feet on the ropes.  As Newsome complain to the ref, Delay recovered and hooked him with a school boy and with the ref focused elsewhere got the pin with his feet on the ropes.  Good match.

The multi-month feud between UAS (Shadow Jackson & Nemesis) and the Ambassadors (Jacoby Boykins & Chris Mayne) came to an end in a Texas Tornado tag match with no DQ and no countout.  UAS were wearing new signature TV Shirts and there were sign in crowd branding Boykins & Mayne as Fat Albert and Woopie.   All four men bled and various weapons came into play.  There was one brutal bump after another until finally Mayne was pinned and per match stipulation is gone from Anarchy.  Fans sang goodbye to Mayne.  Best match these two teams had together at the right time.  Crowd was hot for everything.

The Anarchy fans do not like Tommy Daniels who gets “chicken” and “Jersey Shore reject” chants so were pleased when he was defeated by Jacob Ashworth after his version of “roll the dice”/”last ride”.   CB Gibson who has teamed with Daniels had a brief role as Daniels tried to bail and go to the back, by feeding him back in to Ashworth setting up the pin.

NWA North American Champion, Shaun Tempers  defeated Areal with Dan Wilson to also become NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion in one of the best matches of a night of top to bottom strong matches.  Bo Newsome got involved at one point when it appeared Azrael might win but the Reverend’s broke his staff in half on his back and ran him off.  As the Rev returned his attention to the ring, Jeff G Bailey appeared and threw powder in Wilson’s face, which distracted Azrael as he was preparing to finish off Tempers from the top rope.  Instead Tempers hit an elevated neck breaker on Azrael to get the pin and his 2ndtitle.  Post-match the crowd chanted Azrael’s name even in loss.

The Main event pitted the NWA Elite, Bryan Casanova, Se7en, Lane Vasser and Jeff G Bailey against the team of Mikael Judas, Brody Chase, Slim J and Johnny Dangerous.   At one time Vasser and teamed with Dangerous as Armed & Dangerous and Slim J with Casanova were one time tag team champion, until both Dangerous & Slim J were betrayed and their partners aligned with Jeff G Bailey and his NWA Elite.  The feud between Se7eb and Mikael Judas has been in play for months and the addition of Anarchy Enforcer Brody Chase and Bailey himself to the match made this a much anticipated Main Event.  But it was the addition of former Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer, announced at the previous show that really had the heat level for this match at high levels.  After Chase &Judas outwrestled the Elite for a while Jeff G Bailey went to the back and returned with Tempers & Newsom but Palmer drove them off,  Eventually the Elite got control of Slim J and began to do serious damage and even Bailey, who had been avoiding tagging in, got involved.  Finally Slim J tagged Judas who cleared house on Se7en, Casanova & Vasser.  Se7en went to the floor as did Vasser and Judas threw Slim J onto Se7n and Dangerous dove on Vasser.   Judas grabbed Casanova and all 6 men brawled to the back with the babyfaces in control. That lead to what the crowd had wanted Jeff G Bailey and Brody Chase one on one and Chase began wearing out Bailey with punches and elbows in a corner.   As he went for a “Stinger Splash” in the corner Bailey managed to move and it was referee Dee Byers who took the impact.  As Brody checked on Byers, Bailey recovered enough to land a low blow and began to attack Chase.  Jerry Palmer checked on the ref and with him down decided to enter the ring.  Soon he was stalking Bailey as the crowd and threatening to hit him with “Big Nasty” his axe handle weapon. Chase recovered and encouraged Palmer.  Then the unthinkable occurred.  Instead Palmer struck Chase, first in the gut then solidly across the back.  The crowd was in shock.  Slim J hit the ring only to be struck in the head with the axe handle by Palmer, opening him up.  Slim J was bleeding badly.  Dangerous returned only to be planted by Vasser, and even Michael Judas could lot stop the carnage as he too was destroyed by Se7en, Casanova & Vasser.  With all 4 babyfaces down and Bailey, Palmer & The Elite celebrating, Franklin Dove appeared on the ramp, and Bailey screamed that he had warned him.  The heat for this was off the charts with the crowd screaming plenty of less that famil;y friendly comments at Palmer and his new friends.   This was an amazing Main Event and delivered a  totally unexpected end to Hardcore Hell 2012, NWA Anarchy’s best show to date under Dove and maybe ever.

NWA Anarchy returns to the NWA Arena in Cornelia, GA on Saturday, April 14.   John John son was not in attendance as he and his wife welcome a new baby to the family.  Ring Announcer Brett Wolverton replaced him on Commentary with Tim E.D.

REBUILDING A RENAISSANCE -  NWA DYNAMO PRO WRESTLING

Picture
NWA World Heavyweight Championship returns to St. Louis
 By Kari Williams

When NWA Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce battles “The Tokyo
Monster” Kahagas in St. Louis, it will be more than a championship match – it
will be the continuance of a renaissance.

  “My personal
belief is the NWA world title is the godfather to all wrestling championships in
the United States… It’s an honor to come back to one of the greatest hubs [in
the country to defend the title],” Pearce
said.Pearce’s championship defense will be the first in St. Louis in
approximately 20 years, which Pearce said forces him to want to raise the
bar.

But former “Wrestling at the Chase” commentator Larry Matysik,
the NWA Heavyweight Championship returning to St. Louis is about more than a
single match – it’s a homecoming.

“The NWA was technically born in Iowa where [various promoters
across the country] had a meeting. [‘Wrestling at the Chase’ promoter] Sam
Muchnick… [was] one of the main people giving birth to the national wrestling
idea and putting people together,” Matysik said. “St. Louis very quickly became
home of the NWA because Sam was chosen as president of the organization, and the
champion was booked out of St. Louis.”  St. Louis and the NWA were synonymous from the late 1940s to the
early 1980s for both wrestling fans and those in the business, according to
Matysik.

Pearce said being the one to defend the championship in St.
Louis is an honor – and humbling. “I’ve had a few of these [types of matches] come up in the last
six months… Just this past week, I got back from Australia and it had been 33
years [since the title was defended there]. Harley Race was the last champion to
go,” Pearce said.

Pearce, currently on his fourth reign as NWA World Heavyweight
Champion, said he has devoted his career to the belt.  “I’ve worked really hard personally to restore some of the
luster to this championship… I’ve dedicated my career to the National Wrestling
Alliance World Heavyweight Championship,”Pearce
said.

St. Louis Match & Restoring Meaning to the Belt

Pearce’s challenger for the belt,“The Tokyo Monster” Kahagas is
what Pearce calls a “tremendous competitor.”Kahagas has traveled the country,
from the Midwest to Florida and Texas and is a former High Voltage Wrestling –
Midwest Heavyweight Champion.

“He’s definitely somebody in the last six months who has gotten
his name out there… I admire him for that,”Pearce
said.

Pearce said he has devoted his wrestling life to NWA belt and
his goal is to make the letters N-W-A “mean something again on a much larger
level.  I will always – until I take my last breath – feel the NWA
World Heavyweight Championship is the most prestigious championship in all of
pro wrestling… Today, in my fourth reign as in my first reign, I am as humbled
as I always have been…”

"Seeing the NWA championship defended at a local promotion is a
chance for the NWA to show off its champion around the world", Matysik
said.

“I think wrestling more than anything right now desperately
needs a place for young talent to get a place to grow, just aren’t enough
places… To see the NWA champion on a program is going to be something really
special,” Matysik said.

Matysik said he thinks it is important for independent
promotions to find a way to be strong and having the NWA champion on the show
could help.

“If the NWA, in latest incarnation, can do that that’s
wonderful,” Matysik said. “The business desperately needs
it.”

History of the NWA Championship in St. Louis

Matysik said the original dream of those who started the NWA was
for there to be one, recognizable champion. However, it never “really became a
one-champion situation.”

“There were numerous reasons for that, but because their
champion, the NWA champion, did wrestle in so many different areas… [he covered
a] much larger area where one person is recognized as the champion,” Matysik
said. “As wrestling magazines gained power in the ’60s and ’70s, they recognized
the NWA title as more or less the real title.”

Through the efforts of Sam Muchnick and Ray Gillespie, Matysik
said a line of succession for the NWA championship was traced back to the 1900s
with Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt.  “There was research; there were facts... and they kind of looked
at that champion as the champion,” Matysick said.

Additionally, Muchnick built everything around the championship
in St. Louis, according to Matysik.  “[It] all revolved around who was the world champ, who was going
to fight for the world championship… He made the championship even more
important in St. Louis than it was anywhere else,” Matysik
said.  Matysik said, in all likelihood, Ric Flair was the last person
to defend the belt in St. Louis.  Pearce, who remembers watching tapes of Flair’s title defenses
when the current champ was first breaking into the wrestling business, said he
is most looking forward to “bringing [the belt] home.”

“There’s a renaissance going on with NWA world title. Whether I
want to call it my calling [or not], it’s really been something extremely
important to me to bring this championship to as many place as I can,” Pearce
said.

Other matches on the card include: a mixed gender tag team match with Santana Garrett and boyfriend Chasyn Rance taking on Jesee Neal and girlfriend “The Toxic Knockout” Christina Von Eerie, with Tammy “Sunny” Sytch serving as a special referee; “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn vs. Vordell Walker; plus two other matches to be announced.

Tickets will be on sale soon as updates and more information will be made available on http://www.nwaringwarriors.com and http://www.facebook.com/ringwarriors

FORMER NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPION RETIRES

Picture
RASCHE BROWN ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT:

"Hello friends family and fans. There comes A time when you have to call a spade a spade and I can't deny it anymore. Wrestling has been my life, my passion and all I ever wanted to do was be a wrestler, there was no back up plan that was just what I was going to be and nothing could stop me.

At the age of 19 I had my first Professional bout and 17 years later, I have to say I think this weekend was my last. About 12 years ago I broke my neck in a car accident that left me with nerve damage and spinal issues for the rest of my life. I was told never to participate in any full contact sports again at the age of 24. No doc is gonna tell me it's over right? Well 11 months later I was back in the ring and also playing Semi-pro football at a high level. Well I managed to get many more miles out of my body than any doc ever predicted.

Well dec 5th 2009 I wrestled for Ring of Honor in Chicago and I suffered the worst injury of my life. Do to some mistakes and misjudging, not on my part, I dove over the top rope and slammed the back of my head into the ground. This cause a concussion so severe that I had blood on the brain, permanent short term memory loss, Cluster headaches, emotinal swings from depression to manic, and many other post concussion syndrome issues.

After two years of taking it light and working back slow, I realize every time I get in the ring I'm a little bit more pain, the headaches come back and I regress with the healing of my brain.

This weekend after my match and waking up Sunday to nausea, spinal pain and stiffness as if i was in 10 car accidents, it's time to call it a spade.

My career is over, not by choice, for survival, this hurts me more that almost anything in my life because wrestling was there when life was bad for me growing up a poor kid in a community where people don't see a way out. It taught me right from wrong, good from evil and how to see through bullsh**.

I had one goal since the age of 5, to be the NWA world tag champion and I did it. Work or shoot someone gave a damn about me and Keith to let us carry the torch and be the longest reigning champions in history. I've traveled Europe many times, along with the US, Canada, and Mexico, and I'm proud to say i'VE maybe paid for two flights in my life to anywhere, and one was only $20 because of flyer miles.

I have done more than many will and I am proud of what if done.  To some, because you weren't a star in WWE, they feel you did nothing. Anyone inside the sport knows different.

I would like to thank first Mike Thompson for allowing me to grow in his rings, Carmine Despirito for taking me under his wing and giving me the tools I needed to advance and my first couple Europe tours. Dave Herro, who I became friends with when he had a Merch store full of only wrestling items. (We spent many hours together in that store, you should have paid me like an employee...lol.)  Dave Marquez and the late, great, Ed Schuman for believing in the Skullkrushers.  Adam Pearce; my great friend, opponent, roomate on the road, and fellow Packer fan, for bringing me to ROH to give me a chance to shine there, teach the young guys some things, and learn even more. I want to thank Cary Silkin, then-ROH owner for appreciating me and what I brought to the table and gave me the best year ever in the business as far as the amount of fun it was being with the boys and interacting with ROH fans: you are still the biggest wrestling company in America, the other two don't do what we do...

Most of all I want to tell all you fans or people that have never met me but wanted to be a facebook friend or follow me on twitter or bought shirts pics etc. from me. I'd lie if I said I do this all for you, but I entertained you to the best of my abilities in the way that I was entertained by the men and women before me.

As the tears flow, all I can say is thank you. I tried but I can't shake this brain injury.

Never downplay a concussion, I beg you, its no joke.

I hope i did more good for the biz than bad.  To all of my boys: it was a great ride and some of you I will never see again, but i have great memories that will keep you all fresh in my head for many years to come.

Time to move on to the next chapter in my life, Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this.

Rasche

*We at NWAWrestling.org and the National Wrestling Alliance as a whole, would like to thank Rashe for his many years of entertaining the fans.  Your presence will be sorely missed!

Tasha Simone becomes 3 time NWA World Women's Champion

Picture
results via Mike Sircy
Tasha Simone defeated NWA Womens Champion Tiffany Roxx on December 25 in Lebanon, TN in a steel cage match.   Both combatants, no strangers to each other,  put everything on the line in this violent title match that lasted over 24 minutes before a bleeding Simone pinned Roxx to regain the title she had lost on November 6, 2011.  Tasha Simone begins her third reign as NWA World Womens Champion.

In the end, both women had to be carried from the ring with assistance as they both proved to be worthy champions and gave it 110 percent the entire match.

NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling results for Dec 18th, 2011

by Daniel Lee Lumm
Matches were timed by Avery Edwards for this review. Rampage Pro Wrestling has added a brand new banner behind the ring to the Rampage Arena which looks good from the tower camera. Also noteworthy is RPW’s new energy drink, Verve, was introduced to us before the show and will now be sold at concessions. Ben Masters announces that the NWA World Title Match pitting “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce against Kyle Matthews will be 2 out of 3 falls with a 60 minute time limit.

The show starts with Ben Masters introducing Adam Pearce to the ring to cut a promo. He talks trash about Kyle Matthews and the crowd for supporting him. He says he respects the late “Nightmare” Ted Allen who trained Matthews, but no amount of training from him will allow Matthews to take the 10 pounds of gold from around Pearce’s waist. It’s at this time when Miss Allie is introduced by Ben Masters and we get the first match going.

AJ Steele & Murder One defeat CB Gibson & Tommy Daniels via pinfall at 4:48

Referee: Dustin Robinson

Gibson starts with a quick offensive but AJ takes over with raw power. The Suspects demolish Daniels and Gibson throughout the match, even utilizing some heel tactics in the process, especially leaving pinfalls unfinished to deal more damage. The match ends with AJ and Murder laying out both Daniels and Gibson and pinning them both, one on top of the other.

“Marvelous” Michael Stevens (w/ Anthony Andrews) defeats Officer Chris Jacobs via pinfall at 3:26

Referee: Stan Robinson

The match starts with Andrews distracting Jacobs and Marv taking advantage. Utilizing this tactic, Marv gains the win with a Double Knee Gutbuster.

6-Man Tag Match with Rampage Rules

Mike Posey & Corey Hollis & “Do or Die” Chip Day defeat Frankie Valentine & Drew Adler & Anthony Henry via pinfall at 15:44

Referee: Dustin Robinson

Jimmy Rave Approved start off with a short promo saying that they will show that they are the best multi-man tag team in professional wrestling and that Jimmy Rave’s suspension will not discourage them. The match kicks off with Valentine’s team isolating Posey with some impressive technical wrestling and constant tags. The Approved seem a lot more content with utilizing the Rampage Rules to tag out as opposed to actually tagging each other. The tables are turned when Approved manage to isolate Henry in the ring and deal punishment to him with his partners looking on. The crowd was very alive through this match. Everyone makes their way into the ring taking each other out until there’s literally nobody on their feet. Approved manages to pull off the win by isolating Valentine and finishing with their triple finisher from the top ropes, Corey landing landing a headbutt, Chip following up with a knee drop, and Posey finishing with the leg drop and pin.

J-Rod & Sal Rinauro defeats Cru Jones & Shaun Banks via pinfall at 12:24

Referee: Stan Robinson

J-Rod goes into this alone since Ace Rockwell, his scheduled partner, couldn’t make it to the show. Lava is noticeably sporting some questionable attire, 2 jingle bells attached to the front of their tights. Lava spends most of the match just wearing down J-Rod and tagging each other in, with plenty of trash talking from Cru Jones. Sal rushes out to the ring to become J-Rod’s tag partner and does a good job at evening the odds in his casual clothing. Eventually Hot Like Lava regains control of the match and start isolating Sal in the ring. In the end the match goes to J-Rod and Sal with J-Rod landing the knee on Cru for the pin while Sal held Banks back. After the match Lava threw out Sal and started attacking J-Rod, but Sal grabbed a steel chair and rushed back in to chase them out.

Mikael Judas defeats “Hit for Hire” Bobby Moore (w/ Charlie Cash) via pinfall at 8:51

Referee: Dustin Robinson

Moore is very hesitant to step in the ring with Judas to start off the match. Moore is quick to do trash talking whenever he gains the advantage as usual. After helping Moore get away from Judas, Cash is stalked around and into the ring and caught before Moore comes in to save him. Moore keeps Judas down by focusing on his knee, which seems to be quite effective through most of the match. Judas pulls off the win with a Chokeslam followed by El Crucifijo. After the win, Judas is attacked by Rob Adonis, who smashed Charlie Cash’s cane over his knee, and the Heavyweight Champion, Jeremy Vain. The Usual Suspects rush in to make the save. Referee Dustin Robinson prompted to start the next match immediately.

NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship Match

AJ Steele (w/ Murder One) defeats “Untouchable” Jeremy Vain (w/ Charlie Cash & Rob Adonis & Bobby Moore)(C) via disqualification

Referee: Stan Robinson

Vain makes regular attempts to duck and dodge AJ. It’s a bit of a oddity that Referee Stan Robinson allowed all of Cash Vault to stand at ringside for Vain. The crowd was chanting for AJ through this match as he kept wearing down Vain. AJ ended up utilizing a lot of submission holds in this match with Cash Vault making attempts to keep Vain near the ropes. Outside of the ring we had Murder One and Cash Vault getting into a lot of standoffs, with Murder One eventually getting a steel chair from a fan. Eventually they use the numbers game to distract the ref and attack AJ with Murder One being held back by the ref to stop them. AJ finally revs up and starts tearing Vain up. Right after AJ finishes off Vain, Adonis runs in to break the pin prompting a disqualification. After the match a brawl breaks out, with Judas running in and spitting red mist into Adonis’s face and Suspects beating down Bobby Moore. Murder One, AJ Steele, and Mikael Judas clear the ring and celebrate.

Best 2 out of 3 Falls Match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match

“Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce (C) defeats Kyle Matthews at 20:46

Referee: Dustin Robinson

Pearce starts off by leaving the ring to rip up a sign that one of the fans were holding. He takes it a step further by getting the mic and talking trash to the crowd and go off on a kid who threw trash at the ring. Pearce leaves the ring and takes the belt with him and loses the first fall by count out at 4:34. After the first fall and 30-second rest period, Pearce is still absent from the ring and waited for a bit to finally come out again. He said if they don’t force the kid who threw trash at the ring to leave, he wouldn’t defend the title. Bill Behrens comes out to say that the match has to restart the match since Count-Outs cannot be a determining factor in a title match. The match was restarted after 7 minutes in. Pearce starts this fresh slate with a much more aggressive attitude. Kyle comes back quickly with a surprise Super Kick and caught an early first fall at 30 seconds. After the first fall Pearce takes control and starts really wearing down Matthews. Kyle gains momentum and the fans pop. When it looks like a new Champion could be crowned, Jeremy Vain came out to distract Matthews, giving Pearce enough time to deliver a boot and roll him up, grabbing tights for the second fall at 9:59. The third fall had a lot of near falls by both competitors but it finished with Peace planting Matthews with a Lariot. After the match, Pearce shook Kyle’s hand before delivering a Piledriver. Kyle was left in the ring with Sal Rinauro, Frankie Valentine, and referee Dustin Robinson trying to help him.

Breaking news: Has NWA’S Howard T Brody and Larry Brannon signing of the NWA National Heavyweight Champion Chance Prophet vs. the Tokyo Monster Kahagas put the NWA on the map again?

Picture
Courtesy Missouri Wrestling Revival - http://missouriwrestlingrevival.wordpress.comHot news tonight coming in from Fort Lauderdale, Florida as the former High Voltage Wrestling Champion Kahagas tore the roof down in Fort Lauderdale, Fla against the NWA National Heavyweight Champion Chance Prophet for NWA Ring Warriors in a title match.

In the house was the former National Wrestling Alliance President Howard T. Brody, and former 3 time NWA World Tag Team Champion and now Chief Operations Officer Larry Brannon  were on hand for what one MWR correspondent in Florida called the most brutal match in the NWA since the days of Harley Race and Ric Flair, Bruiser Brody and Abdullah just to name a few.

The night was filled with Superstars as the NWA World Tag Team Champions, the Dark City Fight Club (Jon Davis and Kory Chavis), were defended their titles against two members of pro wrestling’s most heralded and often controversial stables, Degeneration X, in “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn and “X-Pac” Sean Waltman.

“The Original Diva” Sunny” made her way to
NWA Ring Warriors, as was the “Midwest Sweetheart” herself Santana G. Sunny gave the highest of compliments when she stated that Santana G was the top female talent not signed by the WWE today.

Santana G has worked hard to earn the respect of some of the best in the business have taken notice. From the best in the business such as MsChif, Scott Hall, X-Pac, to the greatest Diva of them all Sunny. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

Yet, at the end of the night all the fans could talk about was the brutal NWA National Heavyweight title match between the two warriors that went at it with neither of them backing down. Inside the ring Kahagas and Chance Prophet delivered chops and punches that echoed throughout the building . Outside the ring, it would only get uglier as both men would be disqualified as they went at each other with a vengeance.

Our sources state that both men were far from calling it done on this night, but they will have to wait another day to settle the score to see who truly is the best man.

Earlier this fall we saw the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce electrify the crowd at Metro Pro Wrestling in Kansas City against Michael Strider.

With HVW promoter TNT Keny G scouting out talent in Florida this week, MWR believes that the chances of the NWA National Heavyweight Champion Chance Prophet giving a rematch to Kahagas in the Midwest is very likely.

Should it happen at HVW, Dynamo Pro Wrestling or Metro Pro Wrestling it has the chance to be the match of the year in the Midwest in 2012.

NEW NWA WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPION CROWNED

Picture
October 6, 2011 - Lebanon, TN

In the presence of a overflowing crowd, Tiffany Roxx became the 22nd woman to capture the NWA Womens World Championship.

Fans were highly anticipating a match between Tasha and her scheduled opponent Malia Hosaka.   Earlier in the week NWA was notified that Maila had been injured and would be unable to compete as she is still under doctors care.

When announced Malia would not be there Tasha Simone came to ringside stating that Malia was just too scared to come to Lebanon TN, and since she had no opponent for the evening, she would be taking the night off and attending to other business.   Then the bombshell was dropped on her that she did have an opponent and she was there in the building and it was finally announced who the opponent would be and Tasha was livid.   Kicking and stomping and yelling at promoter Mike Sircy.   Sircy then dropped the biggest bombshell of the night that not only would she be defending the title, but that since Tasha always seemed to have interference in her matches, that this would be a No Disqualification Match and that Sircy himself had been assigned to the be the official for the match.   Once hearing this, Simone went bezerk.

As the match started both Tasha and Tiffany were sizing one another up back and forth with move after move on one another.

For over 30 minutes these two women battled back and forth with neither woman able to gain the upper hand.  Both women were physically exhausted from giving 150% during the match.   At about the 32 minute mark, just as expected, Derrick Neal from Simply Perfection interjected himself in the match for Tasha, only two be met by former NWA Tennessee Heavyweight Champion Kevin Jones telling the official what was going on.  Before Sircy could do anything to stop this, Tiffany Roxx took matters into her own hands as Tasha SImone and Kevin Jones had words at the ring.

Tasha turned and was shocked at what had just happened.  As she charged after her opponent, Tiffany Roxx ducked and Tasha met up Derrick Neal and as Neal was still blinded by the powder he mistakenly grabbed Simone for a suplex.

After the suplex Simone appeared to be totally stunned and wasn't moving very much and was covered by Tiffany Roxx for the 1-2-3 count, and we have a New NWA Womens World Champion.   Tiffany Roxx

NWA Ring Warriors announces main event plus tournament pairings for December 14th ‘Inaugural Brawl’

Picture
(October 29, 2011) Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – NWA Ring Warriors announced today that on Wednesday night, December 14th, the NWA World Tag Team Champions, the Dark City Fight Club, will defend their titles in the main event of the “Inaugural Brawl” in Fort Lauderdale against two members of pro wrestling’s most heralded and often controversial stables – Degeneration X.

“For DX members ‘Bad Ass’ Billy Gunn and Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman, this will be their first shot at NWA gold together,” said NWA Ring Warriors Chief Operations Officer (Talent) Larry Brannon.

“And I fully expect them to bring everything they have with them in order to walk out of the Fort Lauderdale Armory as the new NWA World Tag Team Champions.”

Brannon explained that a win against Dark City, however, would not be an easy task as the reigning champs for the most part have held their titles since November 2010, except for a two week period this past May.

“There is a reason why Jon Davis and Kory Chavis are the NWA World Tag Team Champions,” Brannon said. “Simply put, they are a very tough team to beat. They have all the attributes that a team must have to be called champions and as such they have successfully turned back every challenge thrown at them … and that includes some very impressive Indie and NWA-based duos.”

But is it enough to turn back the challenge of two seasoned, savvy competitors like DX?

“We’ll find out soon enough,” Brannon said, emphasizing that this will be their first in-ring meeting and fans can expect “just about anything to happen.”

In addition to the main event tag team title match, Brannon also released the first round pairing for the upcoming NWA Ring Warriors Grand Championship Tournament. The first round matchups are:

  • Wes Brisco vs. Steve “Moose” Madison
  • Francisco Ciatso vs. Cassidy Riley
  • J.D. Maverick vs. “The Marquee” Bruce Santee
  • The Giant Titan vs. Vordell Walker
As previously announced, there will also be a highly-anticipated first ever meeting on the card as current NWA National Heavyweight Champion “The Dark Child” Chance Prophet puts his title on the line against “The Tokyo Monster” Kahagas.

The “Inaugural Brawl” will be held at the Fort Lauderdale National Guard Armory, 400 S.W. 24th Street (State Road 84).

The next entrant in the 2011 class of the NWA Hall of Fame started his career in tag teams with Larry Hennig and Dick Murdoch. But it was in Florida that his career began to skyrocket, and from there he became worldwide! A 3-time NWA World Champion, a 10-time NWA Florida champ, NWA National Champ, NWA Georgia champ, the list goes on and on, we are honored to open the Hall of Fame doors, "if you weel", to the son of a plumber, the bull o' the woods, The American Dream, Dusty Rhodes, baby!

NWA HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2011: ANGELO SAVOLDI

Picture
The third entrant in the 2011 class of the NWA Hall of Fame started his career in New York, but headlined all over North America before the end of his long career. A three-time NWA World Jr. Heavyweight champion, he engaged in one of the most famous feuds in NWA history with the great Danny Hodge--one that grew so heated that Hodge's own father jumped into the ring and stabbed him!! The NWA is pleased and proud to induct Angelo Savoldi into the Hall of Fame!

NWA HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2011: RIKIDOZAN

Picture
Originally from Korea, the next entrant in the NWA Hall of Fame started out in sumo wrestling. However, his switch to professional wrestling had momentous impact, as he is now known in history as the "Father of Puroresu". Perhaps the most important figure in wrestling in the history of Japan, he is a former NWA International Heavyweight champion, whose televised matches against Lou Thesz and The Destroyer rank in the top ten of most-viewed TV shows of all-time in Japan. The NWA Hall of Fame is honored to induct Rikidozan into the Hall of Fame!

NWA HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2011: SUE "TEX" GREEN

Picture
The next entrant in the NWA Hall of Fame had her first pro match at the age of 15 and had over 40 pro matches by the time she finished high school! Originally trained by Joe Blanchard, she was later under the tutelage of The Fabulous Moolah. Student overcame teacher in 1975, when she defeated Moolah to become the NWA World Women's Champion! Also a holder of the NWA Women's Tag Team title, she has headlined all over the world in a career that has spanned four decades! It's about time for a woman in the NWA Hall of Fame, and we can think of no more deserving entrant than Sue "Tex" Green!!

NWA HALL OF FAME 2011: "CLASSY" FREDDIE BLASSIE

Picture
Summarizing the career of the next entrant into the NWA Hall of Fame is impossible in a limited space. NWA World Jr. Heavyweight champ, 17-TIME NWA Southern champ, NWA Americas champ, a legend in Japan where his match with fellow HOF inductee, Rikidozan, was said to have caused heart attacks in the Japanese viewing audience, part of perhaps the hottest feud ever in California against John Tolos (Monsell's Powder, anyone?), well, you get the idea. The NWA Hall of Fame throws open the doors for "Classy" Freddie Blassie!

NWA HALL OF FAME 2011: CHIEF WAHOO MCDANIEL

Picture
As with all our entrants, it's impossible to list all the titles our next entrant won during his career, but here's a summary: NWA National champion, U.S. champion, Southern champion, Mid-Atlantic champion,Florida champion, Georgia champion, Texas champion, whew, and lots more! He wrestled all over the globe and was one of the most popular wrestlers with the fans everywhere he went! On top of all that, he had an outstanding career in the old AFL--Len Dawson says the hardest hit he ever felt on a football field came from this man. The next entrant in the NWA Hall of Fame is the one and only Chief Wahoo McDaniel!!!

NWA HALL OF FAME 2011: JOHNNY VALENTINE

Picture
The NWA Hall of Fame has more than its share of tough guys, but our next entrant is near the top of the list! The titles he held range from NWA U.S. champ, Florida champ, Georgia champ, Texas champ (8 times!), Mid-Atlantic champ, Missouri champ. Canadian champ, dozens of tag team titles, and on and on! He was so respected in Japan that his series of matches with Antonio Inoki in the mid-60s are cr...edited with vaulting Inoki into superstar status! At various times in his career he was both the most loved and most hated wrestler in the world! Still going strong in 1975, he unfortunately was crippled in the same plane crash that broke Ric Flair's back and was never able to return to the ring as an active competitor. The NWA Hall of Fame is honored to induct Johnny Valentine into its ranks!!!

NWA HALL OF FAME 2011: THE LeBELL FAMILY

Picture
The next inductees into the NWA Hall of Fame are actually a family entry. Aileen LeBell Eaton and her sons, Mike and Gene LeBell were a California promotional dynasty! "Lady Aileen" got into boxing and wrestling promotion alongside her second husband, outlaw promoter Cal Eaton. When Cal passed away, Aileen ran the company herself, becoming such a major figure in the boxing world she was featured in an article in Sports Illustrated and was the first woman inducted into the Int'l Boxing Hall of Fame! At the same time, she promoted regular wrestling events at the Olympic Auditorium in L.A. Her sons Mike and Gene took over the wrestling promotion and were responsible for the famous Blassie-Tolos feud talked about in Freddie Blassie's bio and the influx of lucha talent like Mil Mascaras. "Judo" Gene is perhaps the greatest U.S.-born martial artist and judoka and refereed the historic match between Muhammed Ali and Antonio Inoki! The NWA Hall of Fame has a family-sized spot reserved for Aileen LeBell Eaton, Mike LeBell, and Gene LeBell!!

NWA HALL OF FAME 2011: BILL APTER

Picture
The last entrant in this year's class of the NWA Hall of Fame is the man who is largely responsible for most of our older fans knowing about wrestlers and wrestling worldwide. Before cable television, and then the internet, wrestling fans on the East Coast almost never got to see Mil Mascaras, fans on the West Coast rarely saw Bruno Sammartino, U.S. fans only knew the names Rikidozan and Giant Baba. The only way for fans to know about and keep up with the whole world of wrestling was by reading "The Wrestler" and "Inside Wrestling" and, later, "Pro Wrestling Illustrated". Our next entrant was so integral to those publications that they became known by the slang term "Apter mags"! It is difficult to overstate how important his efforts have been to the entire business of pro wrestling and to the NWA. The NWA Hall Fame is deeply honored to induct Bill Apter!

NWA RAMPAGE PRO WRESTLING: DOCTOBERFEST 2011 - OCTOBER 30

Picture

This Sunday, October 30, 2011, NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling presents DOCTOBERFEST 2011 at Johnny G's in Warner Robins, GA, 2PM belltime.

Dr. Johnny Gayton announced that at Doctoberfest the steel cage would be erected and the first WAR GAMES match in the history of NWA RPW would pit the Jimmy Rave captained team of Mike Posey, Corey Hollis, Chip Day & Sal Rinauro against the Kyle Matthews captained team of Patrick Bentley, Ace Rockwell, J Rod & Adrian Hawkins.   One member of each team enters the cage and 2 minutes later another wrestler enters then in 90 second increments thereafter wrestlers from each team enter the cage until all 10 men are inside.  Then the cage door is locked and "The Match Beyond" begins, and only then can one team win by making a member of the other team submit or surrender.   Pinfalls do not count, and there can be no disqualification in War Games.  At the TV Taping on 10-16, the Kyle Matthews team managed to defeat the Jimmy Rave team to earn the entry advantage, even without Patrick Bentley who had suffered a broken jaw when elbowed by Corey Hollis several weeks earlier.  Patrick Bentley is still questionable for Doctoberfest and War Games, so will the Kyle Matthews team entry advantage be enough if they are missing one man?

NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion, Jeremy Vain faces one of the biggest challenges of his career when he is challenged for the title by "The Priest Of Punishment" Mikal Judas at Doctoberfest, and Vain's advisor "Pretty Boy" Doug Somers may not be at ringside to help Vain as he has to face his "son" Frankie Valentine in a "First Blood" match.  The NWA will not sanction this match as a RPW TV Title match so the title is not on the line, but so much more is.

NWA RPW Tag Team Champions, The Usual Suspects (Murder 1 & AJ Steele), defend their tag titles again the challenge of two top teams, former champions, Hot Like Lava (Cru Jones & Shawn Banks), and the Charlie Cash managed team of Rob Adonis & Bobby Moore.

"Marvelous" Michael Stevens teams with "The Winner" Anthony Andrews to face the team of Drew Adler, Michaels former tag partner, and "Officer" Chris Jacobs.

Plus a "Special Attraction",  Ring Of Honor in cooperation with NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling present ROH's "The Proving Ground"  Rather then calling matches "Non-Title" or having a champion defend 40 times per year, anytime an ROH champion wrestles an individual in a match where the championship is not on the line it will be contested under "The Proving Ground"  In "The Proving Ground" if a challenger beats the champion or lasts the time limit he will get a shot at the championship within 60 days. The matches are 1 Fall with any set time limit.  "The Proving Ground" can make or break a career.  Davey Richards vs Kyle O'Reilly in "The Proving Ground".

Fans who bring their ticket stub from the TNA TV taping on Wednesday, Oct 26 at the Macon Coliseum will get into see Doctoberfest for only $5.  Jimmy Rave vs Kyle Matthews with Mike Posey as referee opens the TNA taping.
Keep up with all the excitement of  NWA RPW TV each Saturday on Macon's Fox 24 at 9:00AM and MY41.2 at 10AM and Cox Communications Cable 11 in Middle Georgia Thurs 8PM & Sat noon  or anytime at www.rampageprowrestling.com, plus Rampage Rewind on Cox Communications Cable 11 M, W, & F  5PM  Fri & Sat 11:30PM & My41 Sat noon.   Don't miss the NWA RPW Doctoberfest TV taping on Sunday October,30, at 2PM.  Be there!!!
